about

Originally composed between 2009-2010, ‘Untitled Movements’ is a collection of ten pieces created using the programming language Max/MSP. Although the resultant works are fixed in nature, aleatoric methods were used in the compositions (excluding form). Essentially, ‘Untitled Movements’ is a documentation of the computer’s performance within the programmed parameters of each movement. The work makes use of repeated harmonic and melodic content as well as timbral variations on consistent sound sources. Each movement maintains an independent character while simultaneously function within the context of the work as a whole.

The recordings presented here are the original compositions with only minor equalization/mastering applied.
